Alto by San Carlo

The perfect rooftop hide-away for a romantic dinner is an ideal spot to satisfy your Italian cravings. The menu brings fresh and vibrant Italian food with produce sourced from Italy’s most celebrated local producers and suppliers. The must-try dishes are Ravioli Lobster with tomato and cream, Tagliolini al salmone with fennel, cream flambé with vodka, Burrata Pugliese, with Sicilian tomatoes, basil and olive oil, paired with Cabernet, intense red wine with a characteristic herbaceous flavour. For those with a sweet tooth, Alto by San Carlo’s dolce menu will not disappoint you with its ultimate gelato experience – alto’s sfogliatella – a shell-shaped pastry made from thin layers of Italian pastry filled with sweet ricotta cheese, candied orange pieces, topped with alto’s own luxury gelato and finished with a special, secret recipe pistachio sauce!

Street XO

StreetXO is the first UK restaurant from David Muñoz. The dining is massive and was fully packed on a Wednesday night. Known for their quirky cocktails, I sat at the bar first and then headed for dinner. The Street XO experience was undeniably fun, imaginative and unique, the most exciting I’ve had in a restaurant in a long time. The best out of the A la Carte menu was The Lamb who travelled: Paris-Lima-Canton - slow cooked milk-fed baby lamb shank, pomme purée à la Robuchon with Ají Amarillo and Chinese smoked tea.

Sushi Samba

One of the finest restaurants in the UK, Sushi Samba sits on the 38th floor of the Heron Tower at Liverpool Street. The restaurant has a very fresh and funky vibe. With its vast menu, the prawn tempura with snap pea julienne, spicy mayo and black truffle vinaigrette are a must try. Apart from fine dining, Sushi Samba has a rooftop bar with an amazing city view, serving the best cocktails. Perfect for a girls night out!
