Cannes Film Festival Fashion!

With the heavenly Met Gala looks a not-so-distant memory, fashion lovers don’t have time to breathe as the 71st Cannes Film Festival is now in full swing with much anticipated glitz and glamour! The annual event is a film and fashion extravaganza held in Cannes, in the south of France, which previews the best new films from around the world. It began on the 8th of May and will be ongoing until the 19th so you’ll get your fill of gorgeous red-carpet looks from all your fave celebs. Below are some of our favourite looks from the festival so far:

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone wore Zuhair Murad couture dress accessorised with Nicholas Kirkwood heels and Lorraine Schwartz diamond earrings. She looked fabulous in her all-sheer dress – with a very on-trend matching cream lace cape. Deepika ditched her signature sleek hairdo in favour of soft curls which looked beautifully elegant. This is Deepika Padukone's second year at the Cannes Film Festival, which she's attending on L'Oreal's invite.

Victoria Secret Angel Romee Strijd dazzled in glamourous Alberta Ferreti metallic gown and jewels. Her statement blue sapphire and white diamond necklace by De Grisogono was one-of-a-kind and completely stunning. She complemented her look this with subtle beach waves and barely-there make-up. The Dutch model was on the red-carpet for the ‘Everybody Knows’ premiere and opening ceremony.

Another Victoria Secret model that wowed on the red carpet was Irina Shayk at the premiere of two films. Irina, who’s red carpet looks are always amazing, strayed away from the bridal looks common at the Festival on both occasions. The model opted for a risqué ensemble as she stepped out for the premiere of the film ‘Sorry Angel’, and wore a red, floor-length, Versace gown held together with a series of silver chains. For her second look Irina wore a black Twinset dress and Chopard jewels – and looked incredible. The look was completed with a red statement lip and a classy high bun up-do. Irina looked gorgeous both nights.

Lebanese Australian model Jessica Kahawaty put on a glamorous display while attending the opening ceremony. This was her first appearance at the Cannes Film Festival but she looked stunning. She wore a plunging, metallic, rose gold gown by Zuhair Murad with crystal embellishment. The highlight of her dress was the pink fur feather bolero from the A/W 2017 Zuhair Murad's Collection. Her whole look was very feminine and soft. She finished her look with René Caovilla pointed sandals with and silver Swarovski earrings.

There were so many stunning looks to choose from, and more to come, this years Cannes may be the most glamourous one yet!
